It all started back in 1922, when Earl Allen, his wife Shadye, and their five children loaded into a Model T Ford along with a wash tub and a featherbed to seek better health in the pure spring waters of the Ozark hills.

* 1926 - Earl Allen founded Allens in Siloam Springs, Arkansas,  packing 4,000 cases of tomatoes 
* 1963 - Allens opens modern plant utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to insure the quality and freshness of its product    
* 1978 - Allens acquires the popular Popeye brand Spinach  
* 1980's Growth in the institutional market  
* 1998 - Allens recognized for its continued support in fighting world hunger
